TCS Foreclosures Teams Up With Ronald McDonald Charities For Summer Awareness
TCS Foreclosures and Ronald McDonald Charities teamed up to host an event July 2, 2009 at the Orange County Children’s Hospital. Since TCS Foreclosures believes in giving back to the community, we showed our support by providing and serving food, while spending time with the children, families, and staff.
The Ronald McDonald Family Room is a special place within the hospital where families can relax and get away while still being close to their critically ill child. They serve families on the 6th floor or CHOC Children’s, and on the 5th floor of CHOC’s Children’s at Mission Hospital, and are located adjacent to the intensive care units. The purpose of the Family Room is to alleviate stress by providing families with a comfortable alternative to sleeping in a chair or incurring the added expense of a hotel. Additionally, in the Family Room, families find comfort and support in being surrounded with other families who are in similar situations.
The first Ronald McDonald Family Room opened in Kansas City in 1992. Today, there are 127 Family Rooms in 13 different countries and regions, including 68 in the United States and 59 outside of the United States. The Family Rooms at CHOC Children’s and CHOC Children’s at Mission Hospital are the first and only Family Rooms in California. Both are operated by the Orange County Ronald McDonald House.
